DO’s and DON’Ts  (for on-campus and off-campus students):

DO bring along the right ID.   For all CofC Students:

For students without SC driver’s licenses - bring your (signed) blue SC Voter Registration Card AND your military ID/passport or your SC voter ID card (with a picture).   For SC residents – bring your SC driver’s license and voter registration card (especially if the addresses are different).

DON’T wear Campaign T-Shirts or any other campaign gear (buttons, bracelets, hats) when you go to vote!  If you do, they will require you to remove it before getting in line.  So please don’t test the system.

DON’T be late.   POLL HOURS are 7:00am – 7:00pm.  If you have entered the line by 7:00pm, you may stay in line and vote.  If you arrive after 7:00pm you will not be allowed to vote. So vote early - don’t put it off.

Try to vote during off-peak times – 10:00 am to 11:30 am; 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

DO be counted.  If students vote, the politicians in Charleston, Columbia, and Washington D.C. will have to pay more attention to the issues that matter most to you and your friends.
